Our very first Pop-Up!

Updated: Apr 12, 2020

A Zoom Conversation with Williams College Professors Jim Mahon and Nicole Mellow

How COVID-19 Pandemic is Changing the 2020 Election

Thursday, April 9, 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

We are no longer accepting donations for this event. Please join in our next Pop Up with J-L Cauvin.

We thought we'd start our pop-up events with something topical. Our very first Zoom conversation will feature Williams College faculty Jim Mahon and Nicole Mellow. They'll lead a conversation about how the COVID-19 pandemic is reshaping the political landscape in this election year.

We hope you can join the conversation. Your donation will support our goal to Flip the Senate (see the Fine Print below). We suggest $20, but invite you to pay what you can. Steep a pot of quarantea or stir up a quarantini, turn on your laptop, and join our Zoom session to discuss how Coronavirus is affecting the 2020 election.

After you donate, look for an email from ActBlue with the Zoom link to the Pop-Up.

Didn’t see it? Check your spam folder.

We will send you an email reminder on the day of the event too.

We need to flip 5 seats to ensure we have a Democratic majority in the Senate. Our best opportunities right now are Colorado, Iowa, Maine, Montana, and North Carolina. In states where primaries have not yet been held, we’re using Act Blue’s Nominee Funds, which will ensure your dollars will go to the eventual Democratic Senate challenger:

  • Colorado – nominee to be identified

  • Iowa – nominee to be identified

  • Maine – nominee to be identified (we want to unseat Susan Collins)

  • Montana – Steve Bullock

  • North Carolina – Cal Cunningham

RECIPES

Quarantea

· Peppermint, Earl Grey, Chamomile, or Green tea · Lemon · Honey Add hot water and pour into your favorite mug.

Quarantini

You only need 3 ingredients to make this Quarantini. This is perfect since the stores are sold out of everything and you should be staying home. Make do with what you already have. · Vodka (or gin) · Lemon · Honey Add it to the martini shaker with a little ice, or pour into glass and stir.
